JURY MEMBERS
This year’s jury unites a diverse and accomplished roster of actors, directors, writers, and producers whose work spans film, television, and theater. The panel reflects the festival’s dual focus on artistic integrity and technical excellence. Awards will be presented in categories including Narrative Feature, Short Film, and multiple Acting Awards.
MICHAEL IMPERIOLI: Lee Strasberg Institute alumnus best known for his Emmy-winning role as Christopher Moltisanti on HBO’s The Sopranos, for which he also wrote five episodes. A fixture in 1990s New York independent cinema, Imperioli worked with directors including Scorsese, Spike Lee, and Abel Ferrara, and wrote/directed The Hungry Ghosts. Recent credits include The White Lotus (2023 Emmy nominee), This Fool, and Paul Schrader’s Oh Canada. He is guitarist/vocalist for Zopa, co-host of Talking Sopranos, and a NY Times bestselling author. His theatre work includes Broadway’s An Enemy of the People and serving as artistic director of Studio Dante.
ALANNA UBACH: With over 150 theater, film, and television credits, Alanna Ubach has delivered dynamic performances for more than three decades. She stars as Susan Bennett in Peacock’s Ted and as Suze in HBO’s Euphoria, and appears in Venom: The Last Dance and The Last of Us. A SAG Award nominee for Bombshell, her credits include Coco, Legally Blonde, Waiting, and Men of a Certain Age. Ubach is also a prolific voice actor, with roles in Crossing Swords and Monsters Inc. Born in Downey to Puerto Rican and Mexican parents, she lives in Los Angeles with her husband and son. Alanna is an alumna of The Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute Los Angeles.
BRITTANY ALEXIA YOUNG: is a Florida-born, LA-based filmmaker telling genre-blending, coming-of-age stories that follow black, queer protagonists. After a career playing Division 1 lacrosse at the University of Delaware, she earned her MFA from Florida State University’s College of Motion Picture Arts earning the coveted Strickland Pathfinder Award. She's recently received support from the Future of Film is Female x NEON grant for her next film and earned a spot in the 2025 Sundance Ignite Fellowship. Her recent short, Munchies, has been supported by the WAVE Grant and has screened at festivals including Palm Springs ShortFest, HollyShorts, and NFFTY.
HYEJIN “GRACE” PARK: is a Korean writer, director, and editor based in Los Angeles. A USC MFA Film & TV Production graduate, she has directed 26 short films, nine vertical series, and co-directed a feature. Her work blends sci-fi, fantasy, and social commentary with humor and heart, often exploring themes of identity, connection, and environmental change. Her short Comet Orphan screened at the 2025 Cannes Short Film Corner and HollyShorts. With over a decade of filmmaking experience across genres and formats, Grace brings a global perspective and a passion for emotionally resonant storytelling to her work.
HEATHER MATARAZZO: Heather's Independent Spirit award-winning performance in Welcome to the Dollhouse launched her career at age 11. She is beloved for her role as Lilly Moscovitz in The Princess Diaries and reprised her role as Martha Meeks in the newest Scream. Heather can now be seen recurring as Judi Spannegel in the second season of Netflix's Wednesday.
STEPHANIE KAZNOCHA: A writer, director, and editor based in Los Angeles. Her first short film, Confessions, premiered at Palm Springs ShortFest and went on to win several awards, including First Prize in the Best Live Action Short category at Flickers’ Rhode Island International Film Festival, Best Comedy Short Audience Choice at Cleveland International Film Festival, and Coronado Island Film Festival’s Mary Pickford Award for Outstanding Achievement in Filmmaking. Her recent editing work includes Comedy Central's Awkwafina is Nora From Queens, the Duplass Brothers' Room 104 on HBO, Roshan Sethi's 7 Days (Best First Feature at the 2022 Film Independent Spirit Awards), and Roshan Sethi’s A Nice Indian Boy, starring Karan Soni and Jonathan Groff, which world premiered at the 2024 SXSW Film Festival. Her latest editing project, Magic Hour, directed by Katie Aselton, world premiered at the 2025 SXSW Film Festival.
JEFF CHAN: is a writer-director currently working in both film and television. He co-wrote and directed the romantic comedy Plus One, starring Maya Erskine and Jack Quaid, which won the Audience Award at the Tribeca Film Festival. He’s directed episodes of The Summer I Turned Pretty, XO Kitty, In the Dark, Kung Fu, and Adam Ruins Everything. He’s written feature films for New Line Cinema, Netflix, Disney, Sony, and Amazon, and he co-wrote an episode of the Hulu series Pen15.
VELLA LOVELL: currently appears on the Fox comedy Animal Control alongside Joel McHale as “Emily”. Other credits include Mr. Mayor, Crazy Ex Girlfriend, Accused, A Clüsterfünke Christmas, She Ra And the Princesses of Power, Kiff, The Big Sick, Dollface, Girls, Younger, Grace and Frankie, As We See It, Your Place or Mine. On the stage, Vella has appeared in plays at The Geffen Playhouse, Yale Rep, The Public Theater and Williamstown Theatre Festival. NYU Tisch and Juilliard graduate.

JEREMY ARNOLD: is the author of three books in the TCM/Running Press series, including The Essentials and Christmas in the Movies. His writing has also appeared in The Hollywood Reporter, Variety, Moviemaker, Noir City magazine and other print and online outlets. As speaker, he has recorded dozens of audio commentaries and filmed interviews for the Blu-ray releases of classic films; programmed and guest-hosted special spotlights on Turner Classic Movies; and regularly presented screenings at the American Cinematheque, Los Angeles Conservancy, Old Town Music Hall, and film festivals across the country. He has also produced and directed several short films.
WADE ALLAIN-MARCUS: is an award winning writer, director, and actor. For his most recent feature, he directed a remake of the cult classic DON'T TELL MOM THE BABYSITTER'S DEAD which opened in theaters nationwide to rave reviews including a NYT Critics Pick. After a run on BET+, it’s now available on Amazon, Apple etc.,FRENCH DIRTY, which he co-wrote, directed, and starred in, was licensed to Netflix after premiering at the Los Angeles Film Festival. It also screened at the Cinémathèque Française in Paris, Festival Internacional del Nuevo Cine Latinoamericano in Cuba, and the Las Vegas International Film Festival where it took home the jury prize for Best Feature Film and Best Feature screenplay. He was a producer/writer/director on Freeform's hit show, "Grown-ish", and a supervising producer/writer/director on Phoebe Robinson's show "Everything's Trash" also on Freeform. He just wrapped as a supervising producer on the fourth and final season of Peacock's hit "Bel Air" and has multiple projects in various stages of development. As an actor, he recurred as "Ali Gator" in Netflix's ERIC starring Benedict Cumberbatch, as "Derek Dubois" in HBO's INSECURE, and as "Diego" in the FX drama, SNOWFALL.
